Changing Order of Data Series

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel

I am trying to change order of data series in an excel chart. I have clicked on a data marker (column) which has marked all columns. Then under format, I've click "selected data series" which opens a box showing my chart. I click on "order"...however in the series order box, it reads series1 and I am unable to use "move up" or "move down" buttons to change the order. Any thoughts?
