Changing Published Fields

I currently have a project plan in Server 2002 that is set to % Complete in
the published fields option. I changed it to Actual Work Done and Work
Remaining. I then republished the entire plan, checking the overwrite actuals
option. Any task that did not have actuals changed to the new option. Any
with actuals stayed with % Complete. Does anyone know of a way to get the
tasks to all change. I thought overwriting actuals would take care of it.

The behavior you are describing is the default behavior of the tool when you
change the default method of tracking progress. If you wish to force all
tasks to accept the new method of tracking progress, you will need to do the
following:

1. Save the project as an .mpp file
2. Ask your Project Server administrator to delete the project from the
Project Server database
3. Import the project into the Project Server database using Tools -
Enterprise Options - Import Project to Enterprise
4. Publish the project
5. Republish the assignments using Collaborate - Publish - Republish
Assignments and select the "Overwrite actual work entered by resources"
option
