changing resource assigned to task

using PS 2007 with Outlook 2007

I had a future task allocated to one resource and then changed the resource
and re-published. PWA reflects the correct information but Outlook for the
first user still has the task listed on the task view. Outlook has been
re-synced with PS.

Shouldn't the task be removed from the original user/resource's list in
Outlook? The task is displaying on the new resources task view in Outlook.

I noticed that with SP1 and earlier, deleted/re-assigned tasks where not
removed from outlook. I've not tested this with the most recent hotfixes,
but I believe what you are experiencing is a bug (or oversight).

I can only suggest that the user remove this item manually.

Thanks Paul.

It certainly can be deleted or even the whole set of project tasks deleted
and then another Import done (as we had to do once before when we were
trialing PS and got the project total screwed :)

Just a bit of a nuisance as I need to remember when I do reallocate
resources as the project manager and then inform the original reource that
they are no longer allocated that task.
