Changing Security

Hi,

I have set up security for a database I created (First
Database). I would like to apply this security to a
database created by someone else (Second Database). I am
current owner of Second Database. I can join Second
Database to to the workgroup for First Database. However,
groups, users, passwords, permissions, etc. do not
change. Is this something I have to do manually, or is
there a way to bring this information from First Database
into Second Database?

Hi Chris,

The workgroup contains just Groups, Users and their membership, and
passwords. The permissions are stored in the mdb file. So the users/groups
are intact, but you need to set permissions in the Second Database via
Tools, Security, Permissions.
