Changing shape with Visio 2007 ?

Hi,

So, it's not possible to change easily an existing shape into another like
powerpoint does. I would like to know if Visio 2007 corrected this.

Thanks for your answer but it's not exactly the answer I expected. I'm
wondering if it's interesting to upgrade to 2007 and this would be one of the
thing which would interest me. I didn't see in 2007 if this function is in.

Sorry, I thought I was answering your question about exchanging one
shape for another.
The shapes in Visio can be very complicated in comparison with those
in Powerpoint. There are many shapes that cannot just be changed from
one into another.

What do you mean by "the same type" ?

To respond to the question about features in 2007 - there is no 'Replace
Shapes' type feature in 2007 or 2003. The SanDrila add-ons are one example
of third-party utilities for Visio which provide a substitution feature,
but it is not part of the Visio feature set in any current version.
