Some visio stencils only enable you to resize them by dragging the
corner so that it maintains the ratio of width to length.

Is it possible to change the icon/stencil so that it has six green
points on it which I can click on to resize however I want?

select the shape, then menu Format -> Protection
and disable Aspect ratio,
However, some shapes may be protected in other ways, the width or
height may be determined by other means.
