Changing Task Status Manager via PSI

I'm not seeing a way to change which resource receives the status updates on
a task via the PSI - if I'm using the PSI to take control of a project with
existing tasks, is there a ways to do this on a per-task level?

Alternatively, would taking project ownership (assuming this I CAN do) do
this for all tasks currently on the project? This is not the method I'd like
to use unless absolutely necessary though.

There does not appear to be any facility within the publically
documented portion of the PSI to alter the Status Manager of a task.



Assuming that the functionality of the PSI is consistent with the
functionality of PWA, setting either yourself or another as Project
Owner will not alter the Status Manager of any existing tasks.
