Changing task type midstream

Hi,
I have a project where the PM has changed the task type to predominantly
Fixed Duration in an environment with managed time periods. This has created
a problem with some of the tasks, resource units, and has shot the finish
date out tremendously. I would like to change all of the tasks back to the
default Fixed Units. Can I do this with a project that already has actuals?
What steps would I need to take?

To revert back to the Fixed Units task type, the PM should do the following:

1. Click the Select All button (upper left corner of the Task Sheet) to
select all tasks in the project
2. Click Project - Task Information
3. Click the Advanced tab
4. Set the Task Type value to Fixed Units
5. Click OK

Before saving the changes to Project Server, I would strongly encourage your
PM (and probably you as well) to study this project in detail to determine
if this made any changes to the schedule, and if so, what changes. Hope

Great, thanks Dale!
It is as I thought. I did try changing it in a test environment and it
looked much better. I simply wanted to ensure that there were not any
unanticipated "features" associated with doing this. I appreciate you help
as usual!
