Changing text in PPT changes the effect order?

I'm working with a PowerPoint slide, programmatically changing parts of the
text in the shape. If the paragraph I'm changing has a custom animation,
after the text change the order of animations in the slide is changed! In the
example - there are 4 paragraphs in the textrange, each a bulleted item -
1,2,3,4, each has a custom effect. After replacing text in the first -
everything seems well. After second - the order becomes 1,3,2,4. After 3 -
1,2,4,3 and it stays that way after the fourth. Has anyone seen this? What
can I do to avoid it?
