Changing the Colour of Interactive Buttons

When I used Frontpage 2000, I was able to customise the colour of the hover
buttons as well as the text within the button, using the eye dropper tool.
Now I've switched over to Frontpage 2003, I can change the text font and
colour and set a coloured background on a .jpg interactive button, but I
can't find how to recolour the button itself. There are only a limited
number of colours available and they don't always match the colour schemes
I'm working with.

Any suggestions?
