Changing the default hyperlink state

I would like to be able to enter email address into the table and then have
them link to the default email client on a machine when a user clicks on them,

How do you go about setting the default on a hyperlink field so that it
doesn't have http:
but
mailto:
so the text entered becomes a email link.

Can anyone help please

I saw an answer to a similar question recently. Have you tried searching
for "mailto:", either in these newsgroups or via Google.com?
