changing the language settings from US to UK

MS Outlook 2003
I've changed my regional settings to UK and also the default spell checker
language to UK as well. When I create an email the spell checker works fine
with the UK dictionary but if I try to reply to an email it checks the
document in using the US dictionary. How can I prevent this from happening?
plz help.
