Find the 'remove office' utility in the Microsoft Office folder (Microsoft
Office 2004:Additional Tools:Remove Office:). Start it up, and then hold
down the option key - the 'remove office' button will change to 'remove
licensing information'

Next time you start an office app, you will be prompted to enter your name
and license number.

Find the 'remove office' utility in the Microsoft Office folder

To change the computer name, try this:

System Preferences, and then click Sharing.

To change your computer¹s name, type a new name in the Computer Name field.

To change your computer¹s Local Hostname, click Edit and type a new name.

Registration for each application will have to be done for each application.

Changing Registered Name: Office 2008

I want to remove the company name as I no longer trade under this name - pressing the option key with the remove utility does not seem to work with Office 2008.

Is my only option to reinstall Office from scratch?

Have you tried to open the Setup Assistant to change the info?

/Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Office/Microsoft Office Setup
Assistant.app

Delete these two files on one of the machines:

~:Library:preferences:Microsoft:Office 2008:Microsoft Office 2008
Settings.plist

where ~ is your home folder, and

HD:Applications:Microsoft Office 2008:Office:OfficePID.plist

When you start an Office app, you'll be asked for a CD Key and you can
re-enter the info.

I don't know if I should start a new post or reply to this, as it definitely is the same question but for an earlier Office product: How do I change the previous owner's name on Office X? I can't find a Remove Office utility.

To personalize the copy of Office X for the new owner, if he/she is using
the same computer, that person must delete two files so he or she can enter
his/her own registration information. These files are:

/Applications/Microsoft Office X/Office/OfficePID
and
/Users/<Your User>/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Microsoft Office Settings
(10)

The first file is invisible; you will need to use the Find tool to locate
it.

Thank you, Mickey. I am unable to find the hidden file by using the Find tool. I do see the second file you mention. Will removing just that file do the trick do you think?
