Changing the Normal Model

Hello, everyone.

That's my problem:

I'd like to have my Word work with a *fixed* model with these features:

30 lines (60 characters) per page.
After some attempts I found it to be obtainable with:
Courier, 12 pts.
Margins: 3 and 3 /// 3.2 and 3.2
Line: 1.5

So I saved a model with these settings.
Word asked me if I wanted to set it as *normal*.
I did.
But whenever I open a new document, I do fond Courier as character, but NOT
1.5 as interline nor the margins I had saved.
The margins *get back* to default ( 2/2 and 2/2 if I remember well) and
typing gets back to *single line*

Is there anybody who can tell how to save a new format other than the
default one?
With different margins and line?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Open a new document, set it up as you wish, then do a "Save as" and
set the document type to ".DOT" and give it a name, say John1.DOT.
Make sure you place the file in the location for document templates as
specified in the Tools / Options / File Locations settings. I have
several different letterheads and Fax templates set up that way. When
you want to use one of your templates, select File / New and then
choosse the template you desire. I use Word 97, so your version may
vary slightly, but the help files should point you in the right
direction.
