Changing to Access 2007 from previous versions

I have 2 problems :-

I have managed to create a list box which defies having any of it's values
selected.
Clicking on an item does not highlight it and the After_Update procedure
does not run. Have checked the property sheet but to no avail.

Every form that I design insists on taking up the whole screen even though I
only wanted to make it into a snall dialog box. The property sheet says
something like width 8cm but at run time it fills the whole screen and
absolutely refuses any attempts to resize it.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Re #2, there is an option for Document Window Options under:
Office Button | Access Options | Current Database
Sounds like you want Overlapping Windows rather than Tabbed Documents.

Re #1, it sounds like this list box is read-only.
There could be several reasons for this, e.g.:
- list box's Locked property
- list box's Enabled property
- form's Allow Edits property
- form's Recordset Type isn't set to Dynaset, or the source query is not a
Dynaset.
- list box is bound to a read-only field (permissions, read-only source
query, multi-table source query, ...)
- list box's Bound Column is not correctly defined.
- something is cancelling the keystroke or mouse event of the form or list
box
- another event (such as Timer) is interfering
