Hi Dan
You can set up a custom format by using Format > Bullets and Numbering and
giving your custom format a name (in the More .. section of the Customize
dialog). Then when you insert the ListNum field you will see your name in
the list.
You can also change the format for an existing ListNum field by selecting it
and choosing Bullets and Numbering from the right click menu - but save your
document if you are working in Word 2002 as this may cause a crash if you
also have paragraph numbering in the document.
