Changing working times problem in MS Project 2007

How does one change the working time for a particular day, for
example, that is already the default 8 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 5 PM to
just working 8 AM to 12 PM? In the previous versions of MS Project,
one was able to simply eliminate the 1 PM to 5 PM (by blanking out the
times). In 2007, upon blanking out either 1 PM or 5 PM, Project does
not allow that by displaying an error that the value is invalid. In
other words, is it possible to elimate the "second" shift row?

Thanks.

Do the following:

1. Open the project in question.
2. Click Tools - Change Working Time.
3. In the calendar grid at the top of the dialog, select the day whose
schedule you wish to change.
4. In the first blank line of the data grid at the bottom, enter a name for
the exception and then right-arrow to the Start cover.
5. Click the Details button to edit the new calendar exception.
6. Select the "Working Times" option.
7. Delete the 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM row of information.
8. Click the OK button and then click the OK button to close the dialog.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. After some experimentation, found that if can also highlight all
rows and press delete. The key, which I cannot find in any documentation, is
that you must press the delete key, since there is no right-click context
menu. (not the mentioned that the aforementioned works differently in the
work weeks tab details). I truly believe MS made the section of Project far
more difficult and intensive than it needed be.
