char spacing

Here is problem. when i type in this program it doesnt
space correctly. It seems to only do a 1/2 space so chars
over lap each other. What i mean it when you press any
char. then on then on the next key press it places the top
of 1st one. So it seem that spacing after a keystroke is
1/2 char

have ms works 6 .

I have tried reinstalling the program didnt help.

if in wordpad or notepad it is correct. also if i do a copy
paste from works to notepad it looks correct in spacing.
