Hello-

Does anyone have a good solution for counting the number of characters
within a textfield or paragraph?

What I am trying to accomplish is to provide a visual indicator to a user in
a word document for the number of characters that are in a particular
section of the document. I have two different paragraphs in a document that
I need to inform the user how many characters are present. It would be nice
to have a visual counter that changes as they user types, but any solution
would work. I have tried to place a button that when executed would count
the characters in a text field, but no success.

If I have seen several good examples using javascript / HTML, but I need to
use MS word for the solution.

Any ideas?
