character map

is there a quick and easy way of using the xp character map? i have office
2003, i often have to use different characters and find it a real struggle to
use the character map. i know there are 'short cut' keys but to remember all
the codes is quite difficult. any suggestions?

Easiest is to hit the Start Button, navigate to the Character Map & Rt-Click
it , choose 'Pin to Start Menu' - then you can launch it directly from there
without having to navigate back into Accessories each time.

Also, don't forget about the Word menu command for Insert>Symbol... That may
be all you need unless you you special characters in apps other than Word.
