Character Styles

HELP!!! I am using Word 2002, towards which I am harboring less-than-friendly feelings right at the moment.

What I'd like to accomplish is a Find/Replace, preferably with a macro, to remove a character style and still retain the underlying (paragraph) style, which isn't necessarily Normal. I could do this in Word 2.0, Word 6.0 and Word 97....

I'd greatly appreciate any help you could offer.

Have you tried selecting the entire document and then
pressing CTRL+SPACEBAR? Note, however, that this procedure
removes not only character styles but also direct font
formatting.

Search for the character style and replace with Default Paragraph Font.
