Characters changed

Hi,

I open some shared documents that other people typed up
and the characters have changed. Bullet points become
$ , ' and , signs become = signs. I've uninstalled and
reinstalled office xp. I put on sp2 updates but it's the
same. This doesn't happen to everyone. Some people open
these files with no problem. Everyone in the office uses
office xp. I can't see where the problem lies.

Hi Dennis,

Your documents are converted WP docs. WordPerfect used a special font for
bullets, smart quotes and other symbols.
This font, "WP TypographicSymbols", is missing on your machine.
If you can't get it from somebody else in the office, you can download it
from Corel:
Files "wpfonts.exe", "wpfonts_readme.txt" in
ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/WordPerfect/wpwin/9/
