Here's the problem. I have a powerpoint file with about 40 charts, each linked to data in an excel workbook. The excel workbook has the 1904 date scheme disabled.
I'm working with time series so the x-axis of the charts are dates. With a good bit of frequency, I'll open the powerpoint document and the dates will have changed on some of the charts - usually always 4 years away from what it should be. Which charts change seems to be arbitrary.
Additionally, sometimes the actual line in the graph is incorrect - it's not actually graphing the data it should be. The problem is solved by choosing edit data from the contextual menu which will open up excel and then the charts correct themselves, albeit it has to be done one at a time which is miserable.
Then I'll save the document and pray that next time I open powerpoint the charts haven't spontaneously morphed. But usually the do.
Any clues here?
