chart edited w/ drawing features doesn't display in Word

I have a user that is including some drawing objects such as lines and arrows
on an excel chart. When he copies/pastes or links the chart into a Word doc,
the graphic will randomly not display/print the drawing objects. he does
have the Tools |Options|Print|Drawing Objects box selected. Originally, he
noticed the problem more often when re-sizings / moving the graphic once
pasted into Word, though he now indicates it is completely random... I've
seen some similar posts, but no responses yet.

Whenever drawing tools are used in Excel, they are not necessarily "embedded"
in the Excel spreadsheet. Rather than copying and pasting, from Excel, do
this.
1) In Excel, ensure all drawing objects are set to "Move and Size with
Cells" (use Format:Autoshape, select Properties tab.
2) Save the Excel file as a single worksheet workbook (i.e., if the workbook
contains 2 or more worksheets, copy the desired worksheet into a new workbook
and delete all other sheets from this new workbook).
3) Now, go into word and select Insert from the file menu
4) Select "Object".
5) Select the "Create from File" tab.
6) Browse to and select the new Excel workbook you just created (the new one
with a single worksheet).

This should bring in everything contained in the file, including the drawing
objects.

Good luck!
