Hi, using Access 2003 how do I format a line chart so that there are no gaps
when a point has no/missing data?
Any idea or suggestion appreciated
Many thanks,
Jonathan
I my opinion, this is not a good idea. You may not like the looks of a chart
with gaps because of missing data, but continuing a line from a previous data
point to the next data point is misleading. No mater how you generate a
'point' for the line to pass through. It indicates that data in fact does
exist and that its value is whatever the line shows. I would use a chart with
no lines and show the actual data points with a small symbol. (Or a bar chart)
You could also add a note on the chart stating that gaps in the data are
because no data exists at that location.
