Chart in color in excel is coming out black and white in powerpoin

I'm trying to paste a chart and text from excel (2002) to powerpoint (2002).
However, the charts are coming out in black and white rather than their
respective colors in excel. I have tried pasting special in various formats
(picture, metafile) and still running into the same problem.

Does anyone have advice on how to fix this problem?

This will sound weird, but you need to install a color printer driver and
set it as your default printer.

Could you give me a little more information on this? It's weird as of the
three charts I'm trying to paste, one pastes in color while the other two
come out black and white?

Sorry, I don't have any more information than that, because I've never had
the problem. All I can say is try it. Shouldn't take you more than 5
minutes, and if it doesn't work, you haven't lost anything but 5 minutes.
