Chart looses format everytime I open the file

I have a file (excel XP, WIn XP) with almost 80 charts, and whenever I open
the file, some of the charts lose the data label format.

I change them back to the way I want them (vertically aligned, above) and
save it. Closing and reopenning the file makes the formatting change again.

Is there some limit on the quantity of charts in an Excel file? or is there
a problem with the file?
