Chart Type

Try selecting a column with a right click, then select
Chart Type. Go to the Standard type tab, and select
Column. Here you will see Column types... look and select
the stack column for $'s, not the 100% Stacked Column.

To change the color of the area, double click (normal) and
it will bring you to the Format Data Series area. You can
change the colors here. To change only one area in a
Series (maybe only one yr in Series one is negative),
select the column, wait, then select again and it should
highlight only one square... then double click and it will
bring you to the Format Data Series for only that square.

This doe snot work.
I mean I do not know tha type u are talking about.
I've tried ALL of them and none produce the desired effect.
It puts the numbers in categories that go way BEYOND the actual numbers.
thus it is not informative, etc.

I'm working in Excel 97... guess that's why my suggestion
didn't work. Try going to your Help - Contents and Index
and select Chart Types.

I'm sending you an example in Excel 97 through direct e-
mail.

Linda,
I know the one you sent me and do have it.
The problem is that it stacks into categories and makes the income for
example, seem higher than the actual number as the category itself is
higher.
If my max number is say 1,500, when u look at the chart it will seem to be
maybe 3,000.
I am just trying to have the bar stacked to the actual number and NOT
category.
Do u know what I mean?
