I need to create a chart within a chart...for example if I have a bar chart I
only want a portion of the chart to include the stacked bar chart and the
rest stay the way it is in the original chart...

does anyone know if this is possible?

Hi,

Can you not use zeros in the data series where no bar is required?

So for example the follow data would only plot Two as stacked.

AA BB
One 1
Two 1 1
Three 1 1

Or did I not understand your problem?
