In order to accomplish this I have to
1 add my target calculation to the query that drives your chart, such as the
average
2 in the chart and in design view right mouse click once to activate the
chart, then left mouse click to open the chart sub menu and go to properties.
Select the row source field and open by clicking on the "..." at the right
of the field.
3 pull in the new target value to your query, this should be in position two
of your query, close out of properties.
4 double click on you chart while in design view then change the type of
chart to "Line-Column". This is done by clicking on the Chart button at the
top of you screen, then selecting "Chart Type" under the Custom Type tab,
slide down to Line-Column, select and then close.
