Check Box Form Question (MS Word 2002 XP)

Hello:

I'm creating a form for a user and would like to know if there is a way to
have a check mark appear/disappear inside the checkbox with one click of the
mouse?

What I'm experiencing now is that I have to "double-click" the checkbox, a
Check Box Form Field Option dialog box shows up, and then I change the
default value to "checked" or "not checked", and finally I click OK.

Thank you for your help!

When the form is complete and ready to use, you have to "protect the
document for forms" to make the fields active. Use Tools > Protect Document
or the lock icon on the Forms toolbar. Until you do that, the form is in a
"design mode" that gives access to the form field property boxes.

Besides enabling the checking/unchecking of the check boxes, it will enable
tabbing from field to field while preventing any editing of the text between
the fields. It also, as a side effect, disables quite a few of Word's
features, such as spell-checking and insertion of graphics.
