Check boxes in cells

Wilfred

I received a spreadsheet that has check boxes in range a2:a146. When I
clear or delete the contents of these cells, the values clear, but the boxes
remain. Left-Clicking on the boxes, toggles a check on/off. Right-Clicking
on the box does nothing.

How do I get rid of these?

Wilfred,

Press F5, click on Special and select Objects. This should select all of the
check boxes at once, so hit delete and they're gone!

I get a box that says "No objects found"

Wilfred,

The right click > nothing explains it, I should have paid more attention to
it in the first place. It looks like your sheet is partially protected (for
objects). In the menu, go Tools > Protection > Unprotect Sheet, and pray not
to be asked for a password (unless you trust the sender will tell you what
it is).

Hi Wilfred!

Show the toolbar "Control Toolbox" (View, Toolbars, Control Toolbox), then
click on the button "Design mode" in this toolbar.
Now you can select the object and delete them.
