Check Boxes not appearing on form

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Hi,

For some reason, when I click on the Check Box Field in the forms toolbar, it is inserting the actual phrase "{formcheckbox}" onto the page, instead of just the Check Box.

Can anyone explain why/how to undo and get just the box?

You've simply toggled the display of the field codes - key Option+F9 to
toggle the codes off or go to Word> Preferences> View & clear the Field
Codes checkbox.
