check boxes

how does a check box work? i 'draw' it on my spreadsheet,
but it just acts like a picture or graphic object when i
click on it. i want to check it!!!

please help!

You've created a check box from the control toolbox. Right-
click on the check box and select Properties. Set
the "LinkedCell" property to some cell reference (like
A1), and close out. Now click on the depressed button on
the control toolbox toolbar to exit design mode. Start
checking!
