check connection to groove management server?

sorry, but I have a new question

Can I check the connection to our groove management server? I can
login local, this is ok. When I can't make a connection to our LAN,
how can I check this in my program?

Check with ping http://our.server.com/gms.dll?

Have anybody a Idea to make this?

Hi Maxi,

The best way to check will be using telnet.
just type in a command prompt:

"Telnet your.groovesever.com 80"
If you see an vlack screen and a cursor blinking then that will be a good
sign.

Ok, I can now check the connection to our groove management server.

How can I check the connection in my program (written in visual
basic) ? I have not found a way to check this.
