Check Names

Sue Hokana

Hi--

I recently converted from OE to Outlook 2000 and really
miss the name auto-completion when sending a new message.
According to the knowledge database I should be able to
use "check names" but it doesn't seem to work at all even
though it is indeed checked. The directions in this
knowledge database to fix it don't make sense to me
(address below). When I go to Tools, there is no Services
as an option. Any ideas on how to get this feature
working? Thanks, Sue

Outlook 2000 has no autocompletion feature. It has a feature called
auto-resolution. If you enter part of a name or a nickname then tab out of
the field (or hit Alt-K [Check Names]), Outlook will attempt to resolve the
name against your address book. If it can't it'll red underline it and you
can right click on the name to manually resolve it. Outlook will save the
resolution for future use.
