checkbox contentcontrol word

My Word 2007 project absolutely needs checkbox content controls. Are these
going to be available anytime soon? Is there any other work-around?

Hi

Word 2007 does not offer a checkbox content control. As far as I know,
Microsoft has not issued any information about features in future versions
of Word.
