CheckBoxFormField / ProtectForm

Word 2007:
Created Form. Inclusive of TEXT FORM FIELDS and CHECK BOX FIELDS
so far so good ALL's ok.
Now I Protect the Form:
As soon as I click on any of the CHECK BOX fields, I can no longer input to
the TEXT FORM fields.
If I unprotect, then all's ok again.
How can I make CHECKBOXFIELD and TEXTFORMFIELD to work in PROTECTED document?
