Hi RVW,

Please use the Project 2002 newsgroups referenced in FAQ No 24: Project and
Project VBA Newsgroups, at this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/ .
You are more likely to get an answer there.

Don't panic! Your Project Server administrator can check-in the project for
you by doing the following:

1. Log into Project Web Access with administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the "Manage enterprise features" link
4. Click the "Check in enterprise projects" link in the sidepane
5. Select the project to be checked in, and then click the Check-In button

Once this is done, you will be able to open the project and save it. By the
way, you should post this message in the project.pro_and_server newsgroup.
Hope this helps.

Hi RVW,

FYI: From my experience, the most typical reason for this happening is when
someone clicks the "X" to shut down MS Project with the file still open.
This will happen far less frequently if you do "File->Close", then
"File->Exit".
