checked out vs last modified = last saved when?

MS Project 2003 (11.2.2005.1801.15) SP2 Project Server 2003 SP1

A project schedule shows checked out in the "check in enterprise projects"
under admin--Check out 5/31/2006 5:38 AM. Under file/open from server it
also shows checked out = yes by same person. The last modified date is
5/25/06 3:22 PM. Is the check out date when it was checked out and 5/25 the
last time it was saved? When a copy is made from a read only it will be a
copy of the last saved schedule even if it is checked out, right?
Thanks

Hi Spunky,
From our experience, the checked out date is the date/time the user
physically checks out the project and the last modified date is the date/time
the user last saved the project schedule. The copy made of a checked out
project schedule will be current to the date/time last modified.
In short, your assumptions agree with ours.
Cheers.....Geoff
