Checking for 2003 updates shows 2002 items as well

Thanks for looking.

When in an Office 2003 application I check for updates via the Help menu
which takes me to the Office Update page. I scan for updates. Instead of
just showing the 2003 updates it also tells me that I need several Office XP
updates.

I had just recently performed an upgrade to 2003 from XP, and I used a full
version disk as opposed to an upgrade disk.

Should I have uninstalled XP first? You wouldn't think so, right?

Thanks in advance!

If you have additional 2002 programs (Publisher, Project,
Visio, etc.) they may be the ones that require the updates.

Thanks for the reply!
The items that it attempts to update are Word, Access, Excel etc. All
programs that should have been replaced by 2003 versions.

I noticed this too when I upgraded, luckily (or unluckily really) I had to
reinstall my computer and put a fresh version on and I now don't have this
problem.

I'm glad I bought the version of Office this time (after buying upgrades
from Office 98 onwards). :)
