CheckNames perverting my email addresses?

I've got a conference coming up.
I got a spreadsheet with 35 names and 35 email addresses.

I import them into Outlook2003 (Exchange Server - not a pop box, latest
version, all office and windows updates updated) into a seperate folder
under contacts. This contact folder now has 35 names and 35 email
addresses

I highlight the 35 people on my list - then do Actions "Send message to
Contact" and it dutifully starts an email with 35 names on the to line.

But wait!
Some are underlined, some are not.
Some read: John Doe Some read (e-mail address removed)

But wait again! Some of the email addresses are not right!
A few of them are grabbed from the elsewhere in my contact folders!

i.e. I've got another John Doe listing in Contacts/office as
(e-mail address removed) and it substituted that one, but I want to
use (e-mail address removed)

1. This should not be. That is not a feature, that is a mistake
2. How do I keep this from happening?

I suspect this is due to autoresolution. You've resolved some of those
addresses before and Outlook has remembered the resolution (the ones
underlines were resolved at a prior time). When there's more than one
choice in a Contacts folder, Outlook will prefer the one already resolved.
2. How do I keep this from happening?

Try disabling autoresolution. Click Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced
E-mail Options and uncheck the box labeled "Automatic name checking".
