Checkout Rules

2 or 3 users (PM's) out of a total of 20 keep having the
same problem of Projects remaining "checked out". I,as
the admin, need to go back in and check them in.

Since it's been pretty much the same 2 or 3 users, I
suspect it's something they are doing. What would cause
something to remain checked out even after they close out
of Project Professional and are no longer connected to the
Project Server?

If you ask the 2 or 3 users who have checkout problems to click File - Close
to close the projects, do they still have the same problem? There were some
problems in Project Server 2002 with projects getting stuck in "checked out"
mode when users closed the projects by clicking the Close button in the
upper right corner of the project window. It seemed that clicking File -
Close bypassed this problem. Let us know if this helps.
