I am having an issue where Chinese characters are appearing when I
move the horizontal scroll bar on a worksheet. I am using Excel 2004
(v11.3.7) on a Mac Mini running OS 10.4.11.
This occurred for the first time yesterday on a worksheet containing a
lot, but not huge, amount of data. When I move the vertical scroll
bar across the columns it's showing me the name of the column in a
"comment style" box just above the scroll bar. The name is in
English, but there's also a bunch of Chinese characters appearing as
well. By the way, I am using AutoFilter for these columns.
What's up with the Chinese characters? It's not a detriment to the
performance of my workbook, but it sure seems odd.
