Hi, I recently downloaded a few Chinese fonts from a site
(www.sino.uni-heidelberg.de/edv/sinopc/chinese_fonts.htm), and copied them
into my fonts folder. After installing them I was able to use them fine in MS
Word 2003, but later when I tried to open up a completely different file (in
English), the whole thing turned up as gibberish/blank/boxes/strange
characters no matter what settings I changed in Word. After I deleted the new
fonts I just installed it made no difference, and when I took the file to
another computer where the fonts were never installed, the gibberish stayed
with the file, even though the 'last edited' date was before the day the
fonts were installed. Does anyone know what causes this and how I can repair
the file? It contains months of my work...
Thanks,
BlowFISH
