Chinese for Outlook Subject Line

I have configured my OS with the necessary Chinese language setting. I have
also enabled Chinese support in my outlook via: "Tools, options, mail
format".

While I am able to input Chinese text in the body of the outlook message
box, I am not able to input Chinese txt in the subject column. When I select
the Chinese setting for the "subject" column, the selection remains with
"English" as the option.

Please advise how to configure so that the "Subject" column can be set with
Chinese input option.
