Chinese/Japanese writing just appeared

Please give me a hand .....

The top record of our access database has converted to
chinese/japanese writing. When I try to delete this I
receive an error message that states "The search key was
not found in any record" I am also receiving an "Invalid
argument" error message when I click on different fields
within the record.

The remainder of the database appears to be intact.

I am very puzzled....

I am having the same problem. Did you ever figure out what
the problem was, nobody around here does. It has already
done this twice to me in one week
