Hi All,

I'm using Office X on Panther, and I want to know how I can input
Chinese characters in to Office applications, e.g. all I get is just
underscores '_' in Excel cells, all the other applications are ok e.g.
TextEdit, Mozilla Composer etc.

Thanks
Charles Lau

Hey Charles,
Try this patch to be able to input 2 byte characters in MS Office v.X.
it's constructed by Korean programmers to patch 2 byte characters into
Office v.X. but it also have option for both simplified or traditional
Chinese into Word, Excel, and as well as powerpoint without known
trouble (some of my Chinese Friends are using it right now. It's very
easy to use just download and unsit it and run the program it will ask
you which language would you like to patch.
Below here is link to the file.

Any idea which of the options I might select to be able to use Japanese in
office file names etc.? Or where I might go to find a similar patch that
would apply to Japanese? I can actually use Japanese in my files, just can't
use Japanese in the file name when I try to save.
