I am trying to get a database of Chinese book titles to link automatically to
a google search for the titles. I've constructed a form which contains the
correct URL as a hyperlink, but when I click on any of the links, they open
in my browser (Firefox) with the Chinese characters as ??? instead of either
Chinese characters or html entities. If I paste the URL into the firefox
address bar, it works fine (although it converts the chinese chars to html
entities). Here is an example:
http://www.google.com/search?q=更年期疾病关怀手册 王玉环,æŽçŠ
(By the way, pasting the above into IE7 address bar does not work at all; it
just converts the Chinese to ??? -- that is why I am using Firefox. )
Does anyone know of a way to get Access to send URL's containing Chinese
Unicode characters to a browser properly.
By the way I am using Access 2002 from Office XP. I have the English
versions of all programs and the OS (Windows XP Pro). I do not speak Chinese,
but am trying to make a useful application for co-workers who do.
