Chinese words can't be pasted onto Word document

Hi, I have a problem pasting Chinese words onto Word document. I can type
them in manually but not paste them from other programs. I know this is
because the default is Vietnamese and I can't figure out how to change that.
Can anyone help please! I have Chinese simplified and traditional on my
taskbar.
